We imagine ourselves if we could be at some place in the real time and view the surrounding of it using the live streaming video in 360 degrees. And furthermore, to experience like we are really there via the VR headset.

Usually, we can only experience that kind of sensation during special live event or one time occasion and not like 24/7 type of thing. Most of the time, it is usually the pre-recorded live video and not a truly live streaming event.

However, we try our best to dig and able to find few real-time and live cam video in 360 degrees viewing format. The list of the selected video fulfilled the following criterias:

  1. It is a real-time and live streaming cam. Not a pre-recorded video.
  2. We can turn and look around in 360 degrees.
  3. We are able to watch it using the VR format also (the stereoscopic view).

1) Joe’s Camera Lab

It looks like a scenery outside of somebody’s home. From the description inside the Youtube, it is from the camera of Explore.org’s manager of field operations. Here, the camera is located in his scenic yard in Arizona.

This live streaming video from Geo Vision looks like somewhere from the middle of the street in Taiwan. You can set it to a high resolution image.

3) Cat Share

This real time camera captured the live of the cat in a room. From the description, the cat’s name is “Shinzo” and it is a male Scottish Straight breed.

4) Avon Lake Eagle

This real time video is showing the bird’s nest.

How to Watch the Live Streaming Video?

You can try now either using Google Cardboard kind of VR headset or by using the more high end headset such as Oculus Quest 2. If you are using Quest 2, then you can open the Oculus Browser and go to this page and try the experience above one by one. When it opened up in the Youtube app, then go at the bottom and switch to “360 VR” mode.
