4 Main Highlights During Meta Connect 2023
Recently, on 27th September 2023, Meta company organized an event called Meta Connect 2023 which was held physically and virtually. In case you missed it, here we are sharing with you the top main highlights during the Meta Connect 2023 keynote event.
As usual, Mark Zuckerberg, the Founder and CEO of Meta, started the day with his inspiring keynote. The physical event, as you can see in picture below, took place at Meta Headquarter (HQ) in Menlo Park, California.

Now, let’s go through the key highlights below…
1) Meta Quest 3
This is the definitely the most anticipated highlight during the keynote event. From Mark Zuckerberg, Quest 3 is the most powerful headset that they have ever shipped. And it is also the first headset with Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 Qualcomm processor. This headset also is using pancake lenses that can improve the visual experience.

This enables Quest 3 to have more enhanced resolution by 30% compared to Quest 2. It also has high fidelity and full color passthrough that can support MR games and apps.
This time, the main selling point of the VR headset is the MR (Mixed Reality) capability where it will make the physical and digital worlds to be seamless. Now, the headset can better understand your space so you can play with the real world around you.
As additional, the price is still affordable where it starts from USD499.00 and shipping start on 10th October 2023.
2) More Games In Immersive Content Library
There will be more great games coming soon such as “Asgard’s Wrath 2“, “Assassin Creed: Nexus“, “Xtadium” and “The Grand Getaway“. Personally, we can’t wait for the “Assassin Creed: Nexus“. The demo trailer looks awesome!!

Expected to have more than 500 VR and MR titles in their massive immersive content library. To make it more interesting, XBox Cloud Gaming is also coming soon.

3) Ray-Ban | Meta Edition Smart Glasses
Mark Zuckerberg introduced the next generation of Ray-Ban | Meta smart glasses. This new glasses will have higher resolution specs with full HD capture. Meta AI is built-in together as well to make the glasses smarter.

Furthermore, you can do live stream straight from your glasses. Remind us of the first “Mission: Impossible” movie 🙂
4) Meta AI
From what we see, Mark emphasized a lot on AI (Artifical Intelligence) this time. The focus of Meta AI is on the AI personas and the generative AI integration. You can get help, ask questions and interact with Meta’s AIs using chat as if they are real guys.

You also can download Llama 2 to explore the development and building of AI. We foresee that the virtual reality world can gain a lot of benefit from the advancement in AI.
Lastly…
From the event, it shows that virtual reality is still relevant today. VR will still co-exist with AR, MR, AI and metaverse.
