Recently, on 6th June 2023, Tim Cook announces Apple Vision Pro to the public during WWDC23, the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.
Starting Era of Spatial Computing…
For Apple, Vision Pro is their first 3D camera initiative where you can capture spatial photos and videos in 3D. And you can then play it back together with spatial audio while you are wrap in panorama view. From them, this will be like the beginning of the spatial computing era.
One interesting feature of the headset is the EyeSight feature where the outward display can reveal your eyes while wearing it. So others will know whether your are using apps or fully immersed.
From what we can see, the focus point of this device is more leaning towards AR (augmented reality) and MR (mixed reality) usage. Besides, it position itself to be more of a productivity tool where you can have infinite canvas or virtual screens around you to place your apps.
Although there is no controller introduced, but you can still navigate the virtual or mixed reality world with your hands, eyes and voice. Especially hands gesture. Perhaps this video below can help you better understand what Apple Vision Pro can offer to you…
This device is expected to be available early next year 2024 in the United States and the price will start at $3,499.00.
