Recently, a CEO of a company announced that he will ONLY be running his business in virtual reality and augmented reality for the whole one year. Imagine being lockup (or lockdown) in VR for one straight year. That is really out of the mind! So, do you eager to know who that ambitious guy is?
He is Bruno Larvol who is the founder and CEO of LARVOL, a provider for data and intelligence solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. He is very damn serious about it that he called himself as the CEO of Metaverse. They claimed that they are the first company to set up shop in the Metaverse. Furthermore, the company’s commitment is to go “VR-first” and “remote-always“. That sounds damn serious…
How Will He Do It?
He started this on 15th August 2021 where he put on the VR headset and committed to spend the next year of his business life in it. During this period, he will take no internal video meetings or conference call. Instead, he will use the “Avatar to Avatar” conversations to replace the “conventional” email and phone medium.
If his team want to meet him, then they must join him in the virtual environment. The great thing is, each of the team members are equipped with a VR headset. Whewww!!! You can see how’s the LARVOL’s VR office looks like in Spatial in the video below…
To show how serious he is in this, he got his own special website that keep track how long he has been in the virtual environment. Below is the example as of 25th August 2021…
What a dedication! You can find it at https://www.larvol.com/ceo-of-metaverse. To heat things up, you can contact them if you would like to visit his office in the Metaverse.
What are Tools & Platform Used?
To perform this astonishing feat, Bruno Larvol is using Spatial as a VR/AR collaboration platform. And some of the virtual environments are custom built by M2 Studio, a VR rendering and animation firm. Examples of the VR headsets that he is using are Oculus Quest 2 and Microsoft HoloLens.
Along his journey, Bruno will be sharing his experience, understanding and lesson learnt on social media and regular events. Well, only time will tell if he is able to succeed in his mission. We wish him all the best in his outstanding effort to promote virtual reality via this experiment. For more info, you can read it at:
