If you’ve taken screenshots or recorded gameplay videos on your Meta Quest 3, you might be wondering how to transfer the photos or videos to your phone. Whether you want to edit videos or share VR clips on social media, the process is simple once you know the correct steps.

Step-by-Step Guide to Transfer Pictures & Videos from Quest 3 to Phone…
Method 1: Use Meta Horizon App
This is the fastest, simplest and easiest way to move or transfer your screenshots and videos to your mobile phone.
Step 1: Open the Meta Horizon App on your phone.

Step 2: Tap Menu (the one with hamburger icon).

Step 3: Under Horizon menu, tap on Gallery.

Step 4: Here you can see the photos, screenshots, images and videos. Tap on the Select button.

Step 5: Tap the Radio button to choose the images or videos that you want to download. Then, click on the Download button below.

Step 6: Once done, “Download successful” message will appear.
Step 7: Open the Gallery on your phone. Usually the files will be downloaded into your DCIM folder or albums.
Notes:
- This method works for screenshots, screen recordings and saved videos from apps.
- This method does not work for downloaded files, ZIP/RAR, documents and APK files. Use PC method for those.
Method 2: Use Cloud Storage
You can also upload files from the Quest to cloud storage apps like Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.
Step 1: Press and hold the Meta button on the right controller. Refer to the image below.

Step 2: In the Universal Menu, select the Library icon.

Step 3: Select the Browser icon like in the image below. The Meta Browser will appear.

Step 4: Inside the Browser, type the URL of the cloud service Eg. Google Drive. Use the browser as how you normally use it on PC.
Step 5: Login to the cloud service.
Step 6: If you are using Google Drive, click on the File Upload menu. The pop-up will appear like the image below. Select the file that you want to upload and then click on Select button.

Step 7: Open the cloud storage apps from your phone. View or download your photos, images, pictures and videos as usual.
Method 3: Use Email
Repeat Step 1, 2 and 3 from the Method 2 above.
Step 4: Inside the Browser, type the URL of the email service Eg. Gmail. Use the browser as how you normally use it on PC.
Step 5: Login to the email service.
Step 6: Compose an email. When you click on the Attachment icon from your draft email, a pop-up will appear like image below. Select the file that you want to upload and then click on Select button.

Step 7: Send the email to yourself.
Step 8: Open the email apps on your phone.
Step 9: Download the attachment which contain the files from Quest 3.
Note: When Quest 3 detected that you frequently use Gmail, it will help you by creating a shortcut to it so you don’t have to open the browser. Cool function!

In Quest 3, there are several social media apps that available for you to download and use it straightaway. Some of the examples are WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
