Samsung & Oculus VR

There is a rumour that Oculus VR and the top giant high tech company, Samsung, is currently team up to collaborate on producing better virtual reality device and technology. Not sure whether it is true or not, but based from Engadget, the deal will be such a win-win situation.

From Oculus VR side, it will give Samsung early access to its mobile SDK (software development kit) and helps develop the user interface software. And from Samsung side, it will give Oculus VR early access to its next generation OLED (organic light-emitting diode) screens technology. The OLED screens will be awesome since it resolution is higher than 1080p.

That’s a pretty interesting news to me. But not sure how it will end up since it is still too early and unofficial. Especially since Oculus VR is still entangled with the intellectual property issue with ZeniMax. For more info, you can read it at:
1) “Samsung is working with Oculus on a media-focused VR headset” from Engadget.
2) “Oculus and Samsung Team up for Virtual Reality Device” from GameSpot.
