When Elders or Older Generation Try-out VR Technology using Oculus Rift

Usually, we associate the virtual reality or VR technology with the youngster or the new generation. Have you ever wondered what will happen when the elders or the older generation try-out the VR stuff themselves? The Fine Brothers Productions might have the answer to it. They let these old men and women to put on the Oculus Rift headset and transported them virtually to the Tuscany Villa in Italy, a roller coaster ride and a horror house from Horror Tribute. What do you think will happen?
The Elders’ Reaction on Oculus Rift
When the Oculus Rift is first showed to them, the elders are very sceptical about it. One elder was concerned that this device would control their mind. The other old grandpa was worried about being electrocuted by it. One granny thought it as some sort of a space mask. Whatever perception they have, one common thing about them is that they never heard of Oculus Rift before.

However, once they put it on, all of them are really impressed and totally mesmerized by that new experience. There’s a lot of “Ooohh“, “Aaahhh“, ”Woahhh” moment happening around. The headset made them feel like they are really there, blending with the virtual environment. They kept moving their head all around to appreciate the sensation of being immersive in those environment. They screamed, yelled and shrieked during the roller coaster ride and the horror house demo. Below are some of the elders comments when trying out the Oculus Rift.
“My God, this is awesome…”
“Damn, it is pretty cool…”
“It’s everywhere. It’s like you are there…”
“Is George Clooney’s house nearby?”
However, one of them kept complaining about dizziness, motion sickness and nausea. Yep, that is one aspect that still need to have a lot of improvement in virtual reality devices. Watch the nearly 8 minutes video below to see for yourselves how they react when they put on the Oculus Rift headset.
