I am in my 80s and interested in VR. I would like you to recommend an app that makes me feel like I am flying.
Hi Jacob,
Welcome to this site 🙂 Perhaps you can try “Warplanes: WW1 Fighters” or “RUSH”. Hope some of the suggestion here can help you too:
https://allvirtualreality.com/review/best-airplane-flying-games-vr-oculus-quest.html
Try: Wood Brothers’ Flying Colours
World War One Camel and Fokker with real physical capabilities. Learning mode or combat against a PC generated opponent. Just 250 rounds so TIP: set up Fokker and fire the machine gun singly for better survival chance. Flying is so realistic, with the island scenery really testing your abilities. I would recommend a two stick controller or opt for the handset controls. Avoid interacting the primary pitch and roll inputs. No two flights are ever the same. You can only improve. Designed by a University Lecturer and his brother, a professional pilot. Available via Quest organisation.
We just got Early Access approval back for our High Desert Eclipse experience for AppLab on the Oculus Quest . One of the reasons we filmed it in the first place and was showing in film festivals was for people who couldn’t get out, climb up, and stay in the high desert for several days.
(Have Rift & Go versions as well that are available via direct link and AppKey)

Looking for some help / suggestions for my 88 year old mother. She is in skilled care nursing facility, paralyzed from the neck down. Her mind is still super sharp and I’m looking for a way I can place a VR headset on her but control what she can see since she cannot use her hands. I was looking at the stand alone Quest 2 headset, but I don’t know if that would work when she cannot use her hands. Is there a way to see what the headset is seeing on a laptop while the user Is experiencing VR? Is there a way to control the experience for the user when they cannot use their own hands? Thinking she would really enjoy the apps where she can virtually travel to various places.
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for visiting by. It will be really great if your mother able to experience and enjoy the VR.
You might want to look into Virtual Desktop app or Oculus Link air as the solution for it.
At this moment, we don’t have the detail tutorial on this yet. Once we have it, we will surely share it with you.
Dear readers,
If you have some suggestions that can help Kevin, please share it here as well.
